About Me
Biography: I am currently a senior at Frisco High School, as well as an aspiring author and businesswoman. The use of writing as a device to share stories that are inspired by real-world experience and imagination greatly intrigues me. I'm well-versed in public speaking, creative writing, and time management. I seek to learn more about my passions from trained professionals so that I can make a difference in the world.
I have moved five times in my lifetime, so I am well versed in speaking with new people and learning from experience. Some of my interests include writing, reading, and playing tennis. I work as hard as I can in school to maintain good grades, and always try to stay ahead in order to ensure I get everything done and handed in on time.
Mission Statement: Through my independent study, I aspire to become a better writer through learning in a professional setting what it takes to complete a novel, and the steps that are taken to publish it. With guidance from the mentor of my choosing, I will learn how to develop the skills that all writers possess so that one day, I too can use writing in order to help in a professional setting and to excite and interest people in the rest of the world. At the end of my independent study, I hope to create a final product of high value, and to develop and hone my skills to do so. I hope that this will help set me up for a future career where I can truly use my skills to make a difference in the world around me, and to bring some light to a person's day through the use of storytelling.
