Job Outlook

This week I started my research into what the job outlook for a writer is. I wanted to know going in what fields I could possibly dive into, and what I may be looking to take in college and beyond. I have learned what Majors and Minors I may need to look into, what certificates I can get, and the median wage for a writer. Moving forward, I want to chart more paths I may be able to follow in the writing field. Once I find a mentor, I hope to begin discussing what the job outlook is like from a professional's point of view so I can decide what field I may want to go into. I feel that there are many different paths I could take and so many opportunities I could seize advantage of, so I'm going to look deeper into that. I also commenced work on the finishing of my novel, writing a few chapters throughout my free time. This will ultimately be shaped into the ending of my book, which I hope should be finished in a matter of time. My ultimate goal is to have my first copy of my novel finished by the beginning of November so I can begin to work through a second draft and editing.
