Knowledge To Be Gained

This week, I was honored to have reached out to three professors at SMU and to schedule upcoming interviews. I am really excited to have the opportunity to learn more about the trade that I want to go into, and I hope that getting some new advice will help to give me a new view on writing. Creative writing has always been a super important part of my life, so the chance to take it a step further is very exciting for me. I'm hoping to learn all about the unique process each person has for writing a novel, and what the publication process is like for those who are brand new to there trade.

Moving forward, I'm hoping that I will be able to use all of the information I learn by implementing it in my future writing. I've always had a lot of questions regarding character development, the writing process, and tips to get around cases of writer's block. I often struggle to overcome writer's block when it does hit me, because I grow concerned that any ideas I have will not be able to connect the plot in the way I envision it. I would like to learn how I can overcome all of these problems in order to have a better set writing process for my second book.
