Original Work

This week I began planning what I wanted my original work to look like for the first semester of my studies. I decided that I wanted to include both creative writing and publication, the two fields that I am interested in, in my project. In the end, I decided on writing my prologue with full edits and revision, and then creating a plan of publication that can be utilized in the future once my book is finished. I believe that this project will help me to progress through my novel, and to have a full plan of action for publication once I finish writing the next draft.

Coming up, I hope to continue into my second draft and to focus on making good edits to ensure my novel is the best it can be. I do not personally like spelling and grammar errors that go unnoticed in writing, and I often read my work back to myself countless times to make sure everything flows smoothly. Moving forward, I think I will continue to focus on edits and on fixing up any plot holes I may have left open. I want to finish my second draft in the next few moves, and then move on with final edits and revisions before I offer it up to a publisher.
