Promotion

This past week I started promoting my first novel online. I am now posting weekly updates on Wattpad in order to get my name and my book out, as well as to share it with potential publishers who frequent the site. I am very excited at the prospect of finally sharing some of my work with other people, because thus far, it has only reached my own eyes as well as a few close friends and family members. I hope that by posting on Wattpad, I can gain some experience in editing and receive some advice or first impressions so I can write better in the future.

The sharing of my novel is not the only exciting thing that has happened recently. I also got to meet with Sanderia Smith, an Associate Professor at SMU, who offered me some valuable advice. I learn some special tips for the writing process, and the true value of editing. I have never really considered the fact that my work will one day find itself a home with the people who want to read it and see it reach new eyes. I have a better view now on the entire publication process, as well as what steps to take in the future. I hope to continue along in the editing and revising process, and spend some extra time on my Original Work.
