The Right Ending
Searching for a proper ending to my book has not been the easiest journey. I've been juggling countless ideas, and I was not particularly sure which one would provide the best closure to this book and the best transition to the sequel. I ended up using my research to plot out a few different endings and after pondering each one, settled on the best idea I had. I think that writing the end to the book is a lot of pressure, because a lot of expectations are placed on it.
As I start drafting through my book for the second time, I plan to place a lot of focus on editing the ending just to make sure it's where I want it. I've started my second draft of my book, and intend to have it done by the end of November in order to start thinking about higher goals such as publication. I want to use my research in my writing by utilizing some of tips that I was given in terms of how to end a book, what needs to be covered, and what could act as a surprise to the reader. I think that the most important part for me is ending my book with a bit of a surprise, and that's what I am going to do.
